WELCOME TO THE TRY ANGLE AWARDS
Background
The Try Angle Awards® were established in 1995 in the Thanet Area of Kent to raise the profile of and "Recognise the Efforts and Achievements of Young People in the Area".Since that time these awards have spread gradually until going 'Countywide' in 2001. Representatives of each area were then invited to the County Finals with a presentation being made to the overall winner of the Spirit of Try Angle Awards. The awards have now been developed in many other parts of the UK and have been funded to date by contributions from local Councils, companies and organisations in each area who have sponsored various Award categories. The Try Angle Award Foundation
The Try Angle Award Foundation has been established to oversee the development of the awards as they begin to spread nationally. The Foundation has registered the name The Try Angle Awards with the Patents Office as a registered Trade Mark and is a registered Charity. The Chairman is Roger Gale MP."The Try Angle Awards Foundation which I have the honour to chair, is grateful
for the support received from Kent County Council and in particular the Youth & Community Service, Medway Council,
Kent Police and BBC Radio Kent who
have Supported the development of the Awards over many years.

The Foundation is also grateful to all who have sponsored the development of the Awards locally either with financial or 'in kind' support and to our Patrons. Without their invaluable support The Try Angle Awards would not have grown to what is rapidly becoming a nationally recognised Awards'
Scheme.Thank you for your support."Roger Gale MP

The TRY ANGLE AWARDS were introduced in 1994 to raise the profile of the vast majority of young people in the community who really do TRY, often with little recognition, to DO THEIR BEST!

ALL who are nominated will receive a TRY ANGLE certificate in recognition of their nomination. The winning nominees in each of the categories, together with their guests, will be invited to a very high profile celebrity gala presentation. Each winner will receive a Try Angle Award Trophy and we will learn at the Presentation event who the Area overall winners are.

At the end of the Year there will also be a CountyCelebration event which will highlight the very best of the Nominations received County Wide.

YOUR NOMINATIONS are urgently required in order to ensure that young people from EVERY local school, youth group, club, etc. have their efforts recognised. We are not just looking for the HIGH FLIERS – we are looking for REAL TRIERS!! If you know of a young person who deserves recognition from the local community, please complete and return the nomination form as soon as possible.
